Linked to Karnak by the ancient Avenue of the Sphinxes, Luxor Temple was built by Amenhotep III and completed by Ramesses II. It honored Amun-Ra and the renewal of kingship, a divine ritual binding pharaoh and god. The single standing obelisk of Ramesses II still marks its entrance — a timeless emblem of Thebes’ enduring legacy.
